“One of the marvellous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals.” – Jean Vanier The above quote has always resonated with me and is a belief I strive to live by in my work every day. As a resident of Barrhaven myself, I am always astounded by the fantastic work that the people in my community do for others. From the Barrhaven Food Cupboard to the donations of clothes and toys, there is so much we can do for our neighbours to make our communities healthier and happier. I am a firm believer that we have a duty to our community to leave it better than it was when we arrived. I am proud to say that with every transaction I complete, a percentage of my earnings go directly to women’s shelters across Ottawa, and donations are made to Let’s Beat Cancer. This would not be possible without the support of my clients, and I am so thankful to be in a position to help. In recent months, I have helped found a COVID-19 Relief Operation, focused on preparing and delivering between 500-1000 food hampers each day to women’s abuse shelters, senior residences, and mental health facilities. I would love for you to join me in my community efforts! When we come together, there’s nothing we can’t do.
